Job summary
State Farm’s C3WP team is growing, building cloud-native platforms that power user provisioning, access controls, and role-based permissions across Hercules tools. We seek engineers who want to solve real operational challenges at enterprise scale and contribute to secure, reliable software.
In this Hybrid role, you would split time between Dunwoody, GA and remote work, collaborating with product, security, and UX partners to deliver robust identity and access solutions while advancing data
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience building secure enterprise software using Java.
- Strong API design and integration skills.
- Cloud architecture (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Clear technical documentation and test authoring.
- Familiarity with secure coding, compliance, and auditability requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and ownership mindset.
- Interest in automation, platform reliability, and reducing manual operational work.
- Experience in contact center, workforce management, identity/access management, or other regulated enterprise domains.
- Familiarity with role-based access control, user provisioning, or directory systems.
- A track record of improving operational workflows and building durable platform capabilities.
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams with product, security, and UX partners.
- Discover and learn by leveraging emerging AI technologies to accelerate development.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain access-management services handling provisioning, RBAC, and directory management.
- Engineer secure enterprise workflows with authorization patterns and controlled access for contact-center tools.
- Modernize data assets and data model, supporting migration to a relational store for scalability and quality.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs connecting internal platforms, identity systems, and downstream apps.
- Streamline role assignment, access governance, and admin workflows to reduce manual work.
- Apply secure coding and support access-control requirements for regulated systems.
- Participate in Agile delivery, CI/CD, observability, and production support.
- Create technical docs, runbooks, and process guides.
- Collaborate with product/UX/security/engineering; provide code reviews and guidance.

- Build and support access-management capabilities - Design and maintain services and applications that handle user provisioning, role-based access, and directory management
- Engineer secure enterprise workflows - Implement authorization patterns, permissions logic, and controlled access flows for contact-center tools
- Drive data modernization - Manage and enhance data assets, improve the enterprise data model, and support the migration to a relational data store to improve scalability, data quality, and long-term maintainability.

- Potential starting salary range: $81,000 - $142,000 (Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience. High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience.)
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
