Sheppard's New York Real Estate team seeks an attorney with strong lender- and borrower-side experience to join its full-service practice. You will handle drafting and negotiating loan documents, reviewing title commitments, surveys, opinions, leases, and zoning reports, and you will manage due diligence and closing coordination.

Candidates should have top-tier law school credentials and the presence to lead small teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide lender- and borrower-side real estate financing work.
• Draft and negotiate loan documents; review title commitments, surveys, opinion letters, leases, and zoning reports.
• Oversee real estate purchase and sale transactions; draft contracts of sale and close documentation.
• Prepare and negotiate commercial leases for landlord and tenant clients.
• Support the full-service Real Estate practice including zoning/land use and JV structuring.

Overview

• Experience should include lender-side real estate financing, encompassing drafting and negotiating loan documents, and reviewing title commitments, surveys, opinion letters, leases, and zoning reports.
• Experience should include real estate purchase and sale transactions, covering drafting and negotiating contracts of sale, overseeing due diligence, preparing closing documents, handling transaction logistics, and reviewing and negotiating borrower-side loan documents.
• Experience should include preparing and negotiating commercial leases for both landlord and tenant clients.
• The New York Real Estate team operates as a full-service practice, active in purchase-sale transactions, borrower- and lender-side financing, landlord- and tenant-side leasing, joint venture structuring/documenting, and zoning/land use.
• The firm's clients include national and international private equity owners, investors and developers, healthcare/insurance companies, and national and international lenders.
• The firm maintains one of the largest and most experienced Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental practices in the country.
• Candidates should possess strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
• The role requires presence and composure to manage small teams.
