Mid-Level Project Scheduler Role
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
- Support a major transit infrastructure program, including expansion of new rail lines connecting downtown Austin to the airport and additional east-west corridors
- Partner with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables across long-term infrastructure projects
- Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance and evolving project conditions
- Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts; provide mitigation strategies and recommendations
- Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float, and resource loading
- Support baseline schedule development and ongoing schedule validation
- Generate reports and dashboards on milestones, progress, and performance metrics
- Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling insights to support decision-making
- Ensure alignment with industry best practices and internal scheduling standards
- Manage multiple priorities within a large-scale, multi-year program
Mid-Level Project Scheduler Background Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in project scheduling or project controls
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
- Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, resource loading, and schedule analysis techniques
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, transportation, or engineering projects preferred
- Exposure to cost controls and earned value management (EVM) is a plus
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
