Job summary

Frontline Source Group is seeking a Mid-Level Project Scheduler to join a large, multi-year transportation program in Austin, TX. The role is onsite direct hire and requires developing and maintaining detailed schedules, liaising with PMs and engineers, and delivering milestone dashboards.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of scheduling experience, strong Primavera P6 skills, and a solid grasp of CPM scheduling, resource loading, and risk mitigation for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in project scheduling or project controls.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
• Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, resource loading, and schedule analysis techniques.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, construction, transportation, or engineering projects preferred.
• Exposure to cost controls and earned value management (EVM) is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Support a major transit infrastructure program with multi-year timelines.
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts; provide mitigation strategies.
• Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float, and resource loading.
• Generate reports and dashboards on milestones, progress, and performance metrics.
• Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling insights for decisions.

Transportation Mid-Level Project Scheduler Role Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 Support a major transit infrastructure program, including expansion of new rail lines connecting downtown Austin to the airport and additional east-west corridors Partner with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables across long-term infrastructure projects Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance and evolving project conditions Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path impacts; provide mitigation strategies and recommendations Perform schedule analysis including critical path, float, and resource loading Support baseline schedule development and ongoing schedule validation Generate reports and dashboards on milestones, progress, and performance metrics Participate in project meetings and provide scheduling insights to support decision-making Ensure alignment with industry best practices and internal scheduling standards Manage multiple priorities within a large-scale, multi-year program

Background Profile
