Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced pricing professional to develop cost proposals, assess risk, and ensure compliance with federal regulations in New Jersey. The role supports pricing strategy, cash flow analysis, and cross‑functional coordination with finance, contracts, and BD teams.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS or MA/MS in business with pricing experience, knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business or related field + 2+ years pricing experience; or MA/MS with 0-2 years pricing experience
• Knowledge of Federal Government Pricing
• Understanding of Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time and Materials contracts
• Understanding of Pricing Strategy
• Experience with Forward Pricing Rates and their impact to contract pricing
• Working knowledge of FAR and DCAA audits/reviews
• MS Office, Financial Analysis, and Cash Flow
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance
• Basic to advanced understanding of pricing tools and policies

Responsibilities

• Develop cost proposals, including pricing models and cost volume narratives
• Advise internal clients on risk mitigation and winning price strategies
• Ensure cost proposal compliance with CAS, FAR, DFARS, corporate policies, and solicitation requirements
• Coordinate cost-volume development with management and Capture Management, Business Development, Contracts, Finance, Procurement, HR/Compensation, and technical personnel
• Help lead or assist in pricing strategy aligned with win themes, competitive positioning, and customer priorities
• Support financial analysis and cash-flow development
• Manage cost proposal schedules, production milestones, management/risk reviews, and timely delivery of compliant products
• Support subcontract solicitations and contract negotiations
• Assist with internal and DCAA/DCMA reviews, audits, and customer fact findings
• Assist Pricing management with training, cost proposal reviews, policy compliance initiatives, and refinement of policies, procedures, and toolsets

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Business or related field and 2+ years of pricing experience; or MA/MS degree in Business or related field and 0-2 years of pricing experience
• Knowledge of Federal Government Pricing
• Understanding and experience using Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time and Materials contracts
• Understanding of Pricing Strategy
• Experience using and understanding Forward Pricing Rates and their impact to contract pricing
• Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
• Prior experience supporting DCAA audits and reviews
• Advanced skills using MS Office applications
• Experience in Financial Analysis and Cash Flow
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• US Citizenship
