Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior pricing executive to develop and lead a comprehensive pricing strategy for CAE Defense & Security growth. You will collaborate with US and global teams across pricing, estimating, finance, and business development to drive cost strategies and competitive submissions.

The role emphasizes data analytics, regulatory compliance, and leadership of a high-performing pricing team with international travel and DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in pricing, cost estimating, or program finance in U.S. defense.
• Expert in FAR/DFARS and government cost accounting standards.
• Experience with pricing systems like Costpoint, Cognos, Pro Pricer is a plus.
• U.S. citizen required and DoD clearance eligible.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Overtime and off-shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive pricing strategy aligned with CAE Defense & Security growth objectives and global pricing framework.
• Foster collaboration across U.S. and global pricing, estimating, finance, and business development organizations.
• Drive innovation in pricing models, cost strategies, and competitive assessments.
• Oversee development of cost estimates, BOEs, and pricing submissions for competitive and sole-source proposals.
• Strengthen processes for forward pricing rate proposals, cost estimating relationships, and internal rate structures.
• Use data analytics to improve pricing accuracy, competitiveness, and win probability.
• Ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements for pricing submissions.
• Lead integration of pricing processes across business units.
• Partner with Finance, Contracts, Program Management, and Business Development on pricing assumptions and strategies.
• Support internal governance reviews and provide pricing insights for executive decision-making.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing pricing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
• MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in pricing, cost estimating, program finance, or financial management within the U.S. defense industry
• Demonstrated expertise in competitive pricing, cost strategy, and government contracting
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government cost accounting standards
• Experience operating in a high-growth or transformational environment
• Experience with pricing or financial systems such as Costpoint, Cognos, or Pro Pricer is a plus
• Must be a U.S. citizen to meet government contract requirements
• Highly persuasive communicator able to influence leaders across all levels

• Strong analytical, planning, and project management abilities
• Forward-thinking mindset with ability to anticipate long-term impacts
