Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience with a related Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Skilled in the use of CAD software and generating design concepts and detailed design for complex mechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience conducting engineering analyses in the areas of structures, dynamics, or thermofluids, including the use of finite element analysis (FEA) techniques
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Per the U.S. Government’s eligibility requirements, you must be a U.S Citizen to be considered for a security clearance.
• This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site

Responsibilities

• MITRE's Mechanical and Reliability Department is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to perform mechanical and environmental analyses for ground, airborne and shipboard systems.
