Job summary

MITRE’s Architecture Analysis Department seeks an Intermediate Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and analyze enterprise systems and systems-of-systems for federal sponsors. You will contribute to mission analyses and drive architecture development and modernization efforts on-site.

The role requires MBSE proficiency, strong systems engineering background, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 2 years of experience in systems engineering and enterprise architecture.
• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret eligibility within one year; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas where MITRE can provide meaningful impact based on sponsor needs.
• Apply MBSE, Digital Engineering, Mission Engineering, ML, and Data Analytics to assess capabilities and gaps.
• Evaluate alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative trade-space analysis.
• Develop metrics to measure robustness, resiliency, interoperability, quality, and maintainability.
• Support requirements management, interface management, and architecture change processes.
• Perform system design, software development, modernization, and architecture development.
• Collaborate across government-sponsored projects within multidisciplinary teams.
