Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking a Mid-Senior Mechanical Engineer to support and lead the design and analysis of HVAC systems in Huntsville, Alabama. This role requires 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, along with a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to proposal development, and work across various sectors, including government and industrial clients. A PE license or EIT certification is preferred, along with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience including internships.
• PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred.
• Strong ability to multitask and self-motivate.

Job Description

Mid -Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the design and analysis of HVAC systems
• Mentor junior staff
• Contribute to proposal development
• Work on multidisciplinary projects across government, industrial, and corporate clients
• Travel up to 25% as needed

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (internship and professional experience included)
• PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred with plans to obtain PE license in the near future
• Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software
• Experience with HVAC system design and analysis
• Experience leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and supporting proposals preferred
• Strong ability to work well within a team, maintain a positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivate to produce high-quality work
• Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and professional growth
