Job summary

Solvimate is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join its Employment Law Practice in San Francisco, Newport Beach, or West Palm Beach, FL. Candidates should have 3–6 years of employment litigation experience and active California Bar admission.

You will handle discovery, dispositive motions, depositions, and client counseling, working on California and federal matters.

This is a hybrid role with collaboration across clients and legal teams.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of employment litigation experience in state and/or federal court.
• Experience handling employment litigation matters from discovery through motion practice and, preferably, through hearings, mediation, or trial.
• Demonstrated experience with dispositive motions and discovery management.
• Experience with both plaintiff-side and defense-side employment matters is preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of California employment statutes and civil procedure.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters and discrete litigation components with increasing independence.
• Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related claims.
• Assist with wage and hour litigation, including class and representative actions.
• Handle executive and professional disputes involving compensation, equity, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.
• Support trade secret and unfair competition matters arising in the employment context.
• Represent employers and employees in state and federal court, as well as arbitration proceedings.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and substantive legal briefs.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Provide strategic litigation and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees.
• Advise employer clients on compliance, workplace investigations, discipline, termination, wage practices, and employment policies.
• Counsel employees on compensation structures, separation negotiations, and evaluation of potential claims.
• Conduct workplace investigations and assist with internal employment assessments when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and agency representatives.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues under California and federal employment law.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

Compensation: Up to $175,000, depending on experience and qualifications
