OASYS, INC. in Huntsville, AL seeks a Mid-Level Linux System Administrator to support our ARMY customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal. You will work with a diverse team to monitor, update, and harden a digital simulation lab running Linux platforms (RHEL 7-10).

Responsibilities include firmware and software updates, network configurations, system builds with Ansible, and DISA STIG compliance. Must obtain DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field.
• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with classified lab networking and hardware.
• DoD Secret Clearance eligibility; active clearance highly desired.
• Linux+ and Security+ certifications.
• Willingness for up to 10-20% travel and off-hours support.
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, update, and support a digital simulation lab.
• Perform firmware updates, software updates, network configurations, and standing up new systems.
• Support an independent test platform for the THAAD weapons system.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on multiple Linux platforms (RHEL 7-10).
• Configure and maintain network switches and provide user support.
• Complete cybersecurity scans for lab systems and troubleshoot hardware/software.
• Manage user accounts on classified systems with multi-factor authentication.
• Develop POA&M to document deviations from DISA STIG requirements.
• Automate OS builds using Ansible and maintain DISA STIG checklists.

Mid-Level Linux System Administrator OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Mid-Level Linux System Administrator to support our ARMY customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities include: You will work with a diverse team to monitor, update, and support a digital simulation lab. Seeking a candidate with a strong background in Linux, networking, and security. Knowledge with a configuration management focus is a plus. Candidates will perform firmware updates, software updates, network configurations, and standing up new systems. This lab supports an independent test platform for the THAAD weapons system. Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware and software on multiple Linux platforms to include RHEL 7-10.

Job Responsibilities

• You will work with a diverse team to monitor, update, and support a digital simulation lab.
• Candidate will perform firmware updates, software updates, network configurations, and standing up new systems.

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware and software on multiple Linux platforms to include RHEL 7-10.
• Network switch configuration and maintenance.
• Provide support for systems and users.

• Performing system backups and restores.
• As required, develop Plans of Action & Mitigation (POA&M) to document deviations from approved DISA STIG requirements.
• Ability to step through automating Operating System builds (Ansible).
• Must be familiar with populating DISA STIG checklists.
• Must be familiar with DISA STIG tools and documents.
• Must be familiar with Evaluate-STIG software for vulnerability scanning.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a highly related technical field. Years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• 3+ years of experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Linux systems administration experience.
• Classified lab networking and hardware knowledge.
• Knowledge with a configuration management focus is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills both oral and written; exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, customer focused work environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Previous networks experience.
• Linux+ and Security+ certifications.
• Off Hours support will sometimes be required as mission dictates to support test events.
• Up to 10-20% travel, with minimal Off Hours support will sometimes be required as mission dictates to support test events.

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in configuration management and automated Operating System build.
• Strong Cybersecurity knowledge.
• Ansible is also a plus.

Required Education

• Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline, however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
