Position Description

CGI has an immediate need for a Mid-level IT project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. • This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines
• Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities
• Manages project through the design, implementation and testing phases in accordance with project objectives.
• The candidate is required to use the internal program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies.
• The candidate produces status reports, conducts status meetings and facilitates issue resolution and risk management sessions.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• Demonstrated ability in managing projects similar in scope and complexity to the project requirement
• Progressive IT experience and 3-5 years of PM experience
• Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft Project)
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
• Ability to resolve technical issues
• Ability to manage, coordinate and guide a project team
• Strong issue resolution and risk management skills
• Experience with project management methodologies
• This role is designed for a project manager along with scrum master experience.
• Candidates will have 4-5 years of experience in application development.
• Working with scrum teams and work on modeling applications. (Experience on Modeling is a plus but not required)
• Looking for guidance on features and stories - Adding value by coaching skills on this.
• Looking for mature candidates who can help grow the team.
• Must have experience in supporting a scrum team.
• Must have experience with JIRA.
• Experience in project management - having being in a blended role like this. Balance perspectives from scrum master POV and project manager POV.
  
  

Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field

PMI/Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000.00 - $165,300.00.
