Job summary

Ryder is hiring an experienced Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Kalamazoo, MI. The role offers steady hours, a competitive hourly wage, and a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years or more of classroom training and related work experience preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
• Identifies root causes of basic failures and performs repairs.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT and corporate guidelines.
• Performs other support duties to assist operations.
