Job summary

Cimarron Inc. is seeking a mid-level Guidance Navigation & Controls Engineer in El Segundo, CA, to rapidly prototype, develop, and field space and hypersonic capabilities.

You will design GN&C algorithms, build high-fidelity simulations, implement and test flight software, and support integration and flight tests in atmospheric and space environments. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years of related aerospace experience, and proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required or active eligibility.
• 5+ years of related work experience in GN&C or aerospace.
• Engineering degree in a relevant field (ABET/EAC preferred).
• Experience with aircraft, missile, spacecraft, or autonomous platforms.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify GN&C algorithms for spacecraft, re-entry vehicles, and hypersonic platforms.
• Develop and maintain 6-DOF dynamics simulations and analysis tools.
• Implement GN&C flight software and integrate with testbeds and avionics.
• Apply astrodynamics and trajectory optimization to mission design.
• Develop guidance laws and autonomy tools for on-orbit and atmospheric operations.
• Collaborate with systems, avionics, and test teams and communicate tradeoffs.
