Ruby Labs is seeking a disciplined Middle Next.js Developer to build features end-to-end within a TypeScript monorepo using Next.js App Router, Fastify + Payload CMS API on PostgreSQL, and Cloudflare Workers. You’ll own tasks from estimation to production, adhering to the team’s conventions and delivering robust, observable software.

You will work autonomously within a sprint, communicate risks early, and elevate architectural decisions to senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial React experience including 1+ year with Next.js (App Router, Server Components)
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js backend experience with a typed HTTP framework and PostgreSQL
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and web security fundamentals
• Hands-on with modern client stack: TanStack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form + Zod, Tailwind CSS
• Experience with a code-first headless CMS on PostgreSQL (Payload, Strapi, Directus)
• Testing and delivery discipline: E2E tests (Cypress/Playwright) and unit/integration tests (Vitest/Jest)
• Daily use of AI development tools with ownership of quality and security of generated code
• English – B1+

Responsabilités

• Develop features across the Next.js client and Fastify + Payload CMS backend
• Follow Feature-Sliced Design conventions and localize for all locales
• Ship behind feature flags and AB experiments
• Integrate billing, email/CRM, analytics via REST APIs and webhooks
• Write and maintain unit/integration and E2E tests to team standards
• Improve performance, security, and observability across the stack
• Mentor teammates and surface risks early in writing
