Exelon Corporation in Chicago seeks a mid-level attorney to deliver full legal services in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission practice. You will work under supervision, handling contracts, briefs, and research while supporting agency proceedings and related litigation.

The role requires a JD/LLB, 4+ years of specialized legal experience, and strong writing and communication skills. AI-enabled tooling may be used to augment research and drafting tasks. This is an on-site opportunity.

Qualifications

• An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law as required by the position.
• Clear oral and written communication; ability to read and analyze legal materials and to work under deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Performs broad and moderately complex legal assignments in the area of FERC regulations and policies.
• Assists more experienced attorneys in representing Exelon in agency proceedings and/or relevant litigation.
• Advise clients with respect to all legal and FERC compliance matters.
• Develops understanding of each assigned client’s business and business philosophy.
• Prepare, and revise as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel.
• Projects / duties as assigned.
