Job description

A respected law firm headquartered in Westfield, NJ is expanding its family law team and is seeking a motivated, experienced legal professional with a strong background in family and matrimonial law. This opportunity is fully remote and ideal for someone looking to contribute to a purpose-driven, collaborative legal practice. Duties
  1. Handle a variety of family law matters including divorce, custody disputes, support arrangements, post-judgment actions, non-dissolution issues, and domestic violence cases.
  2. Engage in litigation, including drafting motions, preparing for trial, and representing clients in court.
  3. Maintain and manage a full caseload with autonomy and accountability.
  4. Draft legal documents with clarity, accuracy, and strategic thought.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and courts.
  6. Participate in collaborative case strategy development within a supportive legal team.
  7. Stay informed on developments in family law and maintain professional excellence.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of 3 years of focused experience in family law practice.
  2. Strong litigation background, including courtroom experience and motion practice.
  3. Capable of independently managing deadlines, court calendars, and client communications.
  4. Demonstrated ability to approach family law cases with empathy, strategic insight, and practical problem-solving.
  5. Must be a team player with a commitment to integrity, client service, and continuous learning.
Education
  1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications
  1. Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
  2. Good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
