Job summary

CGI Federal is seeking a Mid Level ETL & Data Migration Engineer to support data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading in a major federal modernization program. You will execute ETL workflows, prepare data for cloud ingestion, and ensure data quality across migration cycles.

Collaborating with data engineers, QA, cloud engineers, and product owners, you will document processes, monitor pipelines, and contribute to repeatable, reliable data operations.

Qualifications

• Must have Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of hands on experience in ETL operations, data transformation, or data migration.
• Experience with structured and unstructured datasets and transformation logic.
• Familiarity with ETL tools, scripting languages, and data pipeline operations.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within multi team, fast paced technical environments.

Responsibilities

• ETL Execution & Data Transformation: Execute ETL workflows for structured and unstructured datasets migrating from legacy systems to cloud environments.
• Migration Operations Support: Prepare datasets for migration cycles, including pre migration readiness checks and staging activities.
• Data Quality, Validation & Issue Resolution: Conduct verification activities to confirm accuracy, completeness, and consistency of transformed data.
• Cross Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Data Engineers, Senior ETL & Migration Engineers, QA/Test Engineers, Cloud Engineers, and Product Owners.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain data maps, ETL logs, transformation procedures, SOPs, and technical notes.
