Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Norton, MA. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy duty vehicles, with a third shift 11:00 pm to 7:30 am. Eligible candidates may receive compensation including an hourly wage of $36 and various bonuses and benefits.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification is preferred. A CDL Class A license is preferred with the possibility to obtain one within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in mechanical repair preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred, must obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
