Job summary

Ryder in Norton, MA is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain heavy-duty vehicles and perform diagnostics. The role offers weekly pay, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for advancement.

The position features a 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm schedule, Monday–Friday with weekends off. CDL preferred, tools provided, and extensive bonus and tuition repayment programs available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work.
• Two years or more of classroom training and work experience in the required area.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root causes and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components and assists with facility maintenance as needed.
