Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Norton, MA to join a team of skilled mechanics. The role offers a stable career path with weekly pay, excellent benefits, and growth opportunities.

Hours are 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm with competitive hourly pay of $35.75 and bonuses for ASE certifications, quarterly performance rewards, and education tuition assistance. PTO, 401(k) match, and uniform support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.
• Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience in required experience, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire and pass drug test/DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
