Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Gray, Tennessee. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles, performing diagnostics, and ensuring safety compliance. A CDL- Class A is preferred, with ongoing training and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Two years or more of training/experience in automotive repair including diesel engines.
• CDL Class A preferred and a valid license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy duty equipment.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root causes and performs necessary repairs.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to clarify the issue.
• Follows Shop Management System and documentation requirements.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and company policies.
