Ryder System, Inc. in Gray, TN is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment. The role features a second shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday–Friday with weekends off, and paid training to keep you ahead.

Qualified candidates bring basic tools, a High School diploma or equivalent, and relevant diesel/mechanical experience. Competitive benefits follow 30 days after start.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance.
• Two years or more of related classroom training or work experience.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Performs preventive maintenance and component inspections.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine the nature of the issue.
• Maintains documentation in the shop management system.
