Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Jefferson, Louisiana to service heavy‑duty equipment with state‑of‑the‑art diagnostics. Enjoy weekly pay, a robust benefits package, and a supportive team environment.

The role offers a first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with a Monday–Saturday schedule and two consecutive days off. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic tools, and diesel repair aptitude; CDL‑A is preferred with transition support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification post secondary degree or certifications preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Two years or more of combined training and work experience preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred; must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Ensures compliance with safety and DOT guidelines.
