Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Savannah, GA. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off, second shift 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, and hourly pay of $29.50.

Excellent benefits include medical, dental, vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, and a 401(k) match. The technician will service heavy-duty vehicles, utilize diagnostic tools, and perform preventive maintenance while upholding safety and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational/Technical certification preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer.
• Identify root causes and replace defective components as instructed.
• Interact with customers/drivers to understand the complaint.
• Follow safety, DOT and company compliance guidelines.
