Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Forest Park, GA for the second shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). The role offers weekly pay, a $30.00/hour wage, and a comprehensive benefits package with bonuses for certifications and performance.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, with emphasis on safety and compliance. A CDL- A may be preferred, with CDL requirement within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years (or more) of classroom training or work experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty equipment.
• Conducts routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical/electronic problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Interacts with drivers to determine nature of the issue and communicates findings.
• Ensures compliance with safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and company policies.
