Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of heavy/diesel vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including routine maintenance.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Completes detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Replaces defective components as instructed and works unsupervised on many tasks.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue and priority of tasks.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines and company policies.
