Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.
• Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas/diesel engines.
• Two years of related classroom training or work experience preferred.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, DOT physical, road test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties on heavy-duty equipment.
• Conduct standard vehicle maintenance and component inspections.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic issues using diagnostic tools.
• Identify root causes and replace defective components as instructed.
• Interact with drivers to determine issues and communicate results clearly.
• Follow safety, DOT, and corporate guidelines in all tasks.
