Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to integrate security into the software development lifecycle for the Maru Program. The role focuses on CI/CD, containerized deployments, and cloud infrastructure across classified and unclassified environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and secure deployment practices, collaborating with software engineers, security teams, and system admins to ensure secure delivery.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with 4-8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Experience in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing AWS infrastructure using CDK.
• Experience with Docker.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot automated GitLab pipelines.
• Experience integrating CDK, GitLab, Docker, and ECS for automated deployments.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using ECS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for microservices and container-based deployments.
• Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Provision, configure, and monitor cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Integrate security tools and best practices into development workflows (static/dynamic analysis).
• Harden environments and secure cloud-native architectures in collaboration with teams.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, and performance.
• Assist in RMF, STIGs, and related security framework compliance.
• Document configurations and contribute to continuous improvement of DevSecOps processes.
