Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to join the Geospatial Analyst Solutions Directorate on the Maru Program. The role focuses on embedding security into the software lifecycle, ensuring secure, scalable, and rapidly deployable geospatial intelligence systems for national security.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with 4-8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• CI/CD Tools experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
• Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing AWS infrastructure using CDK.
• Docker containerization experience.
• GitLab CI/CD: build, maintain, and troubleshoot automated pipelines.
• Integration of CDK, GitLab, Docker, and ECS for automated deployments.
• ECS experience for containerized apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for microservices and containers.
• Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Manage IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Provision and monitor cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Shift-Left security: integrate security tools into development workflows.
• Environment hardening in collaboration with engineering and security teams.
• Troubleshoot builds, deployments, and system performance.
• Assist with RMF/STIG compliance activities.
• Document configurations and drive DevSecOps process improvements.
