Job summary

PeopleTec, Inc. seeks a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on designing, deploying, testing, and operating DevSecOps infrastructure, with emphasis on Linux-based systems and monitoring tools.

The candidate will deploy services via IaaS, configure Linux servers for dynamic web presence, and address clustering and automation tasks. A TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required, along with US citizenship.

Opportunity

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Job Functions

• Responsible for the design, deployment, testing, certification, operations, patching, addressing interoperability issues, of DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, support libraries, components, and application dependencies.
• Responsible for the primary Operations and Maintenance workforce multiple tools.
• Deploys and configures services using infrastructure as a service provider.
• Configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website.
• Debugs cluster-based computing architectures. Uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
• Installs and manages open-source monitoring tools.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• 5 years of experience
• Experience with Linux based environment administration
• Experience testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity
• Experience developing, creating, modifying, and maintaining computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for cybersecurity
• Splunk Experience
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements

• BS or B.A. Degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
• Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks
• Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and python
