Job summary

You will own modeling from framing to deployment, handling claims and healthcare data with Python/R, SQL, and cloud tools. The role emphasizes independent work, clear communication, and mentoring junior data scientists in a federal context. Security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for this federal contract position.
• 3–6 years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Strong Python or R skills with SQL experience for large datasets.
• Experience with ML techniques, data visualization, and communicating findings.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, build, validate, and maintain ML models for claims and healthcare data.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data validation across datasets.
• Lead analytical projects from framing to deployment with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with data engineers to source, validate, and integrate data for modeling.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and modeling issues of moderate complexity.
• Document design, assumptions, methodologies, and validation results for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior data scientists on modeling techniques and best practices.
