Job summary

BL Companies, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer at mid-level for Land Development in New Jersey. The role focuses on concept plan preparation, site design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control, with 4+ years experience and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

You will assist senior engineers, coordinate across offices, and prepare reports to obtain permits. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and a competitive benefits package, with salary between $80,000 and $110,000

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Grade sites and design post-construction stormwater management systems.
• Use Civil 3D to prepare alignments, surfaces, cut profiles, and generate contours.
• Assist Senior Engineer in securing municipal Land Development and NPDES approvals, including researching regulations and attending agency meetings.
• Coordinate with project team across multiple offices on design, permitting and construction components.
• Prepare technical reports and plans to acquire permits and permit modifications during construction.
• Research permit requirements and local regulations.
• Provide support and assist senior team members.
