Maximus is seeking a Mid-Level Back End Developer to join our team! The Mid-Level Back End Developer provides subject matter proficiency for work described in the task. Responsible for providing analytical skills to support process improvement, specialized studies, and definition of requirements. Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties. Requires expertise in the specialty area.

Shall perform engineering tasks for back-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to:

• Developing back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations
• RESTful API development and modification
• Database management and data model development and optimization

This position is contingent upon contract award. Although this role may be performed remotely, occasional paid travel may be required to San Antonio, Texas or Baltimore, Maryland.

Required Qualifications :

• Active TS / SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in related field required; Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience
• 7+ years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages, with knowledge of DevSecOps, microservices, and containers
• 3+ years of recent experience in back-end web design and development
• Experience in system testing, documentation, and verification of system operability and compliance
• Experience with relational databases, RESTful API development, and system integrations
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as Node.js, Django, Angular
• 3+ years of experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira)
• 3+ years of testing web applications
• 3+ years leading software development projects
• Practical experience in cloud environments
• Experience with Agile Software development

Required Certifications :

• PostgreSQL (or alternative relational database) Certification

Desired Qualifications :

• SAFe SA certification
• Experience with Agile Test Driven development
• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
