Job summary

CEdge Inc seeks a System Administrator to support client environments at Scott AFB, IL, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable operations across NIPR and SIPR networks.

The role emphasizes STIG-based hardening, DoD compliance, incident response, and thorough documentation, with on-site delivery and close collaboration with federal teams. A Bachelor's degree and active Secret clearance are required, with 1–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal or DoD systems, including secure operations.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response tools and practices.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work onsite/ client site delivery

Responsibilities

• Manage operating system patching, infrastructure upgrades, and STIG checklists.
• Maintain and update system architecture documentation, including hardware lists, topology diagrams, and database design documents.
• Implement and maintain robust security baselines (NIST, CNSS, DISA STIG, USTRANSCOM) across all environments.
• Ensure compliance and requirements for data protection and privacy.
• Configure and maintain security logging, structured auditing, distributed tracing, and runtime telemetry.
• Leverage management tools (Jira, Confluence) for structured engineering change control, backlog refinement, and workflow alignment
