Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mid Cyber Defense Analyst to support DoD customers at Schriever Space Force Base (CO) or Redstone Arsenal (AL). The role requires DoD Secret clearance and involves rotating shifts, 24x7 readiness, and up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Must have 4 years of directly related experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a combination thereof.
• Must have 1+ year(s) in a management or leadership role.
• Must possess one of the listed certifications (e.g., FITSP-O, CEH, GMON, GRID, GCED, GDSA, GSEC, PenTest+, CySA+, Cloud+).
• Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain/maintain an active DoW Top Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)/CSSP duties per Evaluator Scoring Metrics (ESM).
• Analyze, respond to cyber incidents on customer networks to improve security posture.
• Lead incident investigations from start to finish with data gathering, analysis and reporting.
• Document all steps in the incident response process and preserve artifacts and chain of custody.
• Develop SIEM content/signatures and coordinate with CSSP-CERT subscribers.
