Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Jr. Cyber Defense Analyst to join a multi-site program supporting DoD networks. The role emphasizes defensive operations, incident detection, and rapid response in a 24x7 environment. You will document processes and coordinate with internal and external partners.

The position requires DoD clearances, security certifications, and travel up to 25%, with rotating shifts and a strong focus on protecting critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of general (full-time) work experience.
• Must have 6+ months of directly related experience in information security / cybersecurity.
• Must obtain one of the listed certifications within 6 months of hire: CC|(ISC)2; CEH|EC Council; GFACT|SANS; GISF|SANS; CySA+|CompTIA.

Responsibilities

• Perform Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO)/CSSP duties.
• Cybersecurity duties on customer networks to improve security posture.
• Detect, identify, and respond to cyber incidents per CJCSM 6510.01B.
• Lead incident investigations from data gathering to reporting.
• Document incident response steps and preserve evidence.
