Job summary

Mid-Columbia Insurance in Kennewick is hiring a bilingual auto insurance sales agent. You will handle inbound leads and in-house referrals, advise clients, and close sales.

You’ll work Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., receive a base wage plus commission and bonuses, and receive training including licensing help. No cold calling, supportive team, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active Washington Personal Lines or Property & Casualty license, or ability to get one within 3 months of hire.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
• Able to work full time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in our Kennewick office.
• Excellent phone rapport and customer service skills.
• Insurance or sales experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work agency-provided leads and inbound calls and turn them into bound policies.
• Quote, present and sell personal auto insurance, including SR-22 and broadform, and other personal lines as needed.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and clients throughout the sales process.
• Conduct coverage reviews and find ways to better protect clients.
• Serve Spanish- and English-speaking clients by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Build long-term relationships that lead to referrals and repeat business.
• Keep accurate notes and activity records in the agency system.
• Follow carrier guidelines, agency procedures, licensing rules, and all applicable insurance laws.
• Treat every client with honesty, professionalism and integrity.

Looking for a sales job where the leads come to you?

Mid-Columbia Insurance is hiring a bilingual (English and Spanish) auto insurance sales agent for our Kennewick office.

We've been a local independent agency since 1995 serving the Tri-Cities.

Many of our clients have been turned down or dropped by the big carriers you see advertizing on TV, and we help them find coverage.

Because we're independent, we shop multiple highly rated carriers to find the right fit for each person.

There's no cold calling here.

We invest heavily in marketing, so you'll work leads from digital marketing, referrals, and our existing clients, as well as many inbound calls requesting a quote.

You spend your time advising clients and closing sales, not searching for prospects.

What we offer

• $20 per hour to start, plus commission, and performance bonuses (once licensed)
• First-year earning potential of $60,000 to $80,000+
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., in our Kennewick office
• Training, and help getting licensed if you aren't already
• Paid vacation and sick leave

Experience in the industry isn't necessary.
