Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a COMSEC Engineer in Springfield, VA to design, implement, and analyze COMSEC protocols ensuring confidentiality and availability of sensitive data transmissions.

The role requires experience with KMI/CMCS, COMSEC audits, and collaboration across cross‑functional teams in defense and intelligence environments. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s in related field; 3 years with Master’s; 0 with PhD/JD; or 9 years with High School diploma.
• KMI certification or within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with CMCS (e.g. EKMS, DIAS, CARDS).
• Experience with COMSEC Data Transfer Devices (DTDs).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and analyze COMSEC protocols to protect sensitive data transmissions.
• Manage COMSEC accounts and distribution/destruction of cryptographic keys.
• Prepare documentation for COMSEC audits and regulatory submissions.
• Integrate COMSEC solutions with existing networks and provide technical support.
