UAB Medicine’s MICU Stepdown Unit is hiring Registered Nurses for a busy 18‑bed unit (5 North) at UAB St. Vincent’s East in Trussville, AL. New grads welcome and multiple shifts are available, including full‑time nights (7pm–7am) and days (7am–7pm).

Eligible full‑time staff may receive a bonus of up to $20,000 with a comprehensive benefits package. Provide direct nursing care, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and support discharge planning in a high‑acuity environment.

Formación

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
