Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a registered nurse to provide direct patient care within Med Surg at UAB St. Vincent's St. Clair. The role includes coordinating care across disciplines, implementing care plans, and ensuring timely discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Eligible full-time night positions may receive a bonus up to $20,000. Licensure in Alabama and a Diploma in Nursing are required, with a BLS certification obtainable within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate care with multiple disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders; assist discharge planning.
