Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the MICU to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team. You will follow established nursing models to advocate for patients and support the organization’s mission and values.

The role requires RN licensure, with ACLS and BLS obtained within 30 days of start date; a BSN or ASN/ADN is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Work with a multidisciplinary team to meet quality measures and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers and documents care promptly.
• Teaches patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures like diet and exercise for self-management.
• Contributes to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement to meet quality goals.
• Coordinates and delivers a holistic treatment plan with the care team.
