Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital in Florida seeks a dedicated caregiver for the MICU to deliver compassionate support to patients, families and visitors while assisting with admissions, rounds and basic care tasks.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, perform administrative duties under an RN, and may float to other units for broader exposure in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of recent experience in patient care or customer service or nursing student with clinical rotation or related military medical experience.
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

• Greet, orient, and welcome newly admitted or transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and related documents.
• Support unit clerical functions and troubleshoot equipment (call systems, WOWs, etc.).
• Provide or assist with basic patient care activities (vital signs, transfers, ADLs).
• Report abnormal findings to an RN and communicate changes.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
