Job summary

Med Career Solutions in Houston, TX seeks an experienced ICU nurse leader to serve as Nurse Manager for our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). You will guide a team of critical care nurses, drive clinical excellence, empower staff, and promote evidence-based practice in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Texas RN license active.
• Minimum five years nursing experience.
• At least one year supervisory experience.
• Recent CVICU/ICU experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• National certification in nursing administration or specialty within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop nursing staff to support staff development and engagement.
• Promote safe, patient-centered care and adherence to evidence-based standards.
• Drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement to improve outcomes.
• Oversee clinical assessment, monitoring, documentation, and responses to changes in patient condition.
• Ensure emergency readiness and rapid response during critical events.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow‑up care.
• Promote clinical accountability and sound nursing judgment.
