Job summary

Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health in Edmond is seeking an Experienced RN to join the MICU on a PRN night schedule. You will provide dedicated, high-quality patient care in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and the care team to implement care plans. An ADN/BSN, current OK RN license, and BLS are required, with 1+ year of bedside experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
• Skilled in computer applications to ensure quality and safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medication as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Informs patient and family of hospital procedures and shares care plan during care and discharge.
• Fosters an inclusive workforce and seeks mentorship and ongoing certification.
