Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Part-time Night Shift RN to join the MICU team at Genesys Hospital. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced critical care environment.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to standards, administer medications and IV therapies, monitor status, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe discharge and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date, or Certified Instructor.
• Graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established standards and patient care goals.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, safety measures, discharge instructions, and self-care needs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other therapeutic interventions according to established policies.
• Monitor patient status, including vital signs, labs, pain, intake/output, and blood glucose, and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, hospital staff, patients, families, and community agencies to ensure continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Provide leadership and maintain accurate documentation; ensure patient safety and infection prevention.
