Job summary

Penn Medicine's Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania MICU is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join the team. The role rotates between day and night shifts and supports the registered nurse in delivering compassionate patient care and accurate data collection.

The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, participate in rounds, and follow infection control practices while upholding Penn Medicine's standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• CNA certification and Pennsylvania CNA credentials are required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• HS diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in delivering quality patient care and data collection.
• Report patient status and abnormalities to the RN promptly.
• Support daily living activities and maintain infection control practices.
• Observe and document vital signs, physical status, and patient pain levels.
• Participate in patient rounds and coordinate with healthcare team.

Education

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

CNA program graduate / CNA certification
