Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the MICU Unit 4300. The role supports licensed staff in patient care, with emphasis on compassionate, safe care and unit safety. This is a part-time evening position.

The successful candidate will assist nurses, maintain equipment, and participate in unit activities, including data collection and ongoing education. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; PCT program graduate with hospital experience preferred.
• CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework or PCT certification eligible with hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional nurse in the care of patients and families by completing assigned patient care tasks.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of the unit and environment.
• Participates in data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Demonstrates NYU Langone Health Core Values in all aspects of job performance.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and health care team.
