Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in San Jose, CA seeks an Assembler II to support production of advanced microwave subsystems through mechanical box builds and hand soldering per IPC 610. The role focuses on circuit card assemblies, including SMT and through-hole soldering, with conformal coating after assembly.

You will follow detailed production documents, maintain records of rework, and participate in daily production meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience working as a mechanical/solder assembler in a production environment.
• Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers and experience working under a microscope.
• Basic computers skills.
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Responsibilities

• Work in a production environment to provide mechanical assembly support on complex microwave subsystems, meeting daily output goals established by your lead.
• Work in a production environment to build circuit card assemblies. This includes manually soldering both surface mount and through-hole components and the application of conformal coating after soldering.
• Carefully follow production documentation and processes, including keeping detailed records of rework performed.
• Actively participate in daily production meetings.
