NextDecade Corporation seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to safeguard critical assets, systems, and cloud environments. The role emphasizes Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Entra ID governance, while coordinating incident response, vulnerability management, and data protection across the enterprise.

The position requires collaboration with IT, Legal, HR, Compliance, and business stakeholders to balance security with ongoing operations and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance technologies (Purview).
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention, data classification, sensitivity labels, and eDiscovery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
• Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Purview, data protection, and information governance.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID security controls, Defender technologies, and cloud/app security.
• Support risk assessments, audits, and security control documentation.
• Provide cybersecurity awareness and collaborate with IT and business teams.
